2007 – 2012
This body of work investigates kaleidoscopic aspects of loss and the intertwining stories located in the fictional American place—Hallow County.
The project comprises two streams of making and investigation:
1) A series of perfomances; A) First a series of artistic-research based performances that provoke a question about mourning. There have been 25 performances to date in Australia, USA, Finland, Sweden, and Canada. B) A series of theater pieces developing into the theatrical play, Swell which was presented in NYC & Winnipeg. Read Review in NYTimes.
2) The second stream was a series of stories told through the medium of comics. These developed into the graphic novel, Swell, the graphic novella, Tale of Old Lady Merrel, and the mini-comic Thee Coyote.
